Our favorite easy hairstyles for straight or thin hair are about making the most of it and keeping the flyaways away. Whether you’re getting ready for at a new day at work or a night on the town, try one of these simple hairstyle ideas:
- Double twisted space buns: Section your hair in two down the middle then gather into two pigtails. Twist or braid the pigtails then wrap them around their bases for two buns or criss-cross and pin. Optional: For a half up and half down look, section the top of the hair into two and leave the rest of the hair loose. Grab a small elastic or hair tie and tie the top section into 2 ponytails. Wrap around 2-3 times and pull hair half way on the last tie or twist the ponytail into a bun, then secure it with a hair tie.
- Sock bun: Gather hair into a ponytail, either at the top, center or nape. Cut toes off a sock and put the tube over the ponytail, tucking the end of the ponytail under the edge of the sock. Roll the tube down the ponytail and pin at the head. Optional: twist or braid a section of the ponytail to then wrap it around the base of the bun and secure the end with a pin

- Loose braid: With this cute easy style, you’ll be ready to go in 1 minute or less. Brush or finger comb hair, and gather hair to the side or back. Separate hair into 3 sections and braid down. Add a hair tie at the end to hold it all in place. Optional: Pull a few strands along the front and sides for a more effortless look.
- You can achieve this look by sectioning your hair into two parts, divided horizontally into equal parts.
- Separate the top section vertically into two pieces and then twist and wrap the sections around each other and then pin out of the way.
- Secure the bottom half of your hair with an elastic and then create a small hole in your hair above the elastic and flip the ponytail through the hole.
- Now take down the twisted top half and pull through the opening of the bottom ponytail and secure the two ponytails together with another elastic.
- Take the remaining ponytail and roll upwards from the bottom until you have a roll of hair that presses against the base of the head.
- Secure to the base of the head with bobby pins and you are finished!
- Optional: Add a twist on the classic chignon with a braid. Braid the side pieces and then pin across in place.
